Yoseth Osorio Díaz, dentist "National University of Colombia"
Dr. Yoseth Osorio Díaz delved deeply into the subject of alternative therapies 22 years ago. Personal experiences and daily practice led her to reaffirm the importance of dentistry in an integral context, discovering strong associations between disease occurrences, or aggravation of some existing ones after diverse dental treatments.
These evidences have motivated her to seek alternatives for healthier dental treatments. Some of her researches have won national and international recognition in the field of Neurofocal Dentistry and Biological Medicine. Thus, in the year 1996 she was awarded the Hispanoamerican award of Biological Medicine "Germán Duque Mejía", with the work of "Bioenergetic Stomatology". In the year 1998 she won the international award Hans-Heinrich-Reckeweg by making a research in Biological Medicine, "Biological Endodontics" Internationale Gesellschaft für Homotoxikologie e.V Germany. In 1998 the Association of Medical Researchers in Therapeutic Alternatives (AMIT) gives honorable mention to Dr. Osorio for previous research in alternative therapies in the endodontic field.
Dr. Yoseth Osorio is considered the pioneer of Neurofocal Dentistry in Colombia. She, in addition to research, is dedicated to divulge and develop the concept of Neurofocal Dentistry in the country and in other places such as Mexico, Argentina, El Salvador, Ecuador, among others.
She is the founding member and President of ACONMB, the Colombian Association of Neurofocal Dentistry and Biological Medicine; association created with the purpose of spreading the Neurofocal concept and training dentists around the world with this complementary vision.
From the alumni group of dentists from ACONMB, a new association is formed "Neurofocal Dentists Association of Colombia", nowadays recognized as part of the scientific societies of the country.
Since 1998, ACONMB, along with CIMA (Center for Research and Information on Alternative Medicine), which is leaded by Dr. Julio Cesar Payan, started formation courses in Neural Therapy and Neurofocal Dentistry for doctors, dentists and other healthcare professionals.
As part of the dissemination, Dr. Yoseth Osorio has organized national and international events of great importance, because through them she has opened spaces for dialogue with other countries. She organized the first global meeting of Neural Therapy, Neurofocal Dentistry and Sistematic Thinking in Colombia and later, she organized the first National Organization in the Marly Clinic in the city of Bogotá, Colombia.
In addition to serving in private practice, she is also a teacher and coordinator of annual courses in Neurofocal Dentistry and Neural Therapy. She currently teaches the Master of Alternative Medicine at the National University of Colombia and is a professional consultant in the field of Neurofocal Dentistry.
