Neurofocal Dentistry is one of the fundamental pillars of Neural Therapy and integrative medicine, for it allows us to interpret and identify the way in which interference fields present in our system act as the starting point or developing factor of diseases. These interference fields cause irritating impulses in the nerve system producing physiopathological effects in any part of the organism.

Frequent asked questions:

  • Why should we choose neurofocal dentistry treatments?
We are all used to going to the dentist to get rid of dental cavities, to get implants, for root canals, orthodontics, etc. However, it never occurs to us that perhaps that cystitis, that certain pain and swelling of the knees, or infertility among other symptoms are caused or develop as consequences of different dental treatments to which we expose ourselves, simple because we are NOT USED TO MAKING ASSOCIATIONS.

Patients aren't used to it, and neither are the professionals in dentistry, unfortunately, some knowledge is missing. Then, to the appearance of a disease, we go to a specialist who we think might be the most appropriate one to treat it. However, most of this specialists don't know that that headache or that cystitis could be associated to a previous dental treatment and this is when it's more useful to go to a Neurofocal Dentist, as they have a much broader vision of the human body and their work is not just simply craft.
  • Does Neurofocal Dentistry have any contraindications ?
Both conventional dentistry and Neurofocal Dentistry could present contraindications, these depend on each particular case and that is why in any dental treatment, each case has to be discussed and analyzed in particular. We, as Neurofocal dentists seek treatments not only for the dental health, but the overall health of patients. Also, materials that reduce the risks of outbreaks of disease are used.
  • Where did the Neurofocal Dentistry come from?
It was implemented first in Germany in 1958 and the pioneer was the German doctor and dentist Ernest Adler. He was the same who gave the name for this new vision.
  • I'm a therapist, can I get certified in Neurofocal Dentistry ?
To be able to attend courses for certification, you need to be a licensed dentist. However, there are other courses scheduled for other health care professionals whose health field is not dentistry. Please check www.aconmb.com for more information (classes are taught in spanish at the moment)
    .
  • Are Neurofocal dentistry treatments more expensive ?
It is relative. It all depends on each particular case. Here are some examples:

Sometimes, when our patient is presenting a disease like severe dermatitis, or some case of sclerosis, or some other pathology and we determine that a metal in their mouth is having a negative effect on such disease, we decide to remove it from our patient's mouth. But we cannot replace this metal for another metal. So we offer a metal-free alternative which would probably be more expensive, but healthier and less risky for the patient.

However, some other treatments that we carry out end up being more affordable and cheaper for the patient. For example: If a patient has lost a tooth, the most common thing to do is to suggest them to get a titanium implant or a crown. However, if the nerofocal dentist finds in the patient's clinic history file that such implant would have a negative effect on the patient because he/she presents a thyroid problem, or a hypophyseal adenoma, or any other significant pathology, the dentist then, might suggest cheaper and healthier alternatives.

It is really important to consult certified Neurofocal Dentist professionals, as some patients report having consulted dentists who claim to be neurofocal and suggest the removal of all metal restorations. This can end up being expensive and completely unnecessary. Neurofocal Dentistry doesn't always find the removal of metals necessary. It all depends on each particular case.
  • Does Neurofocal Dentistry always suggest the removal of wisdom teeth ?
Not always. Wisdom teeth should be removed only when necessary. They should only be pulled out if we find that they have some correlation with a certain pathology and also if these come out in a wrong direction. I must then say that some pathologies have been found to be associated to wisdom teeth that interfere with the patient's health. Some of these pathologies are headaches, ear pain, shoulder pain, colon problems, and fertility problems, among others. Due to this, I recommend paying close attention to our patients and carrying out an accurate analysis.
  • Are all implants bad ? Should we stay away from them?
Not all implants affect all patients. In order for you to whether to get one of these or not, you should have a very good and detailed clinic Neurofocal history done. I have seen patients develop serious problems after implant placements, but I've also seen patients who have implants and present no problems at all. It is unpredictable whether a person is going to be affected or not and that's why it is important to make a serious clinical case history.

In my own experience, I've had patients who come to me with severe articular pain, some of them even had trouble walking, and so my diagnose was that this pain could be associated with some of the implants they had gotten in the past. After I removed the implants, they all got better. I've also seen it the other way around; some patients' health is affected .
I'll publish some cases in my personal blog
    .
  • What is a dental Potentiometer ?
It is a device that measures electrical behavior of metals in the mouth. It is used just as a working tool.
  • Is the relation between teeth and organs of the human body scientifically proved?
Yes. There is scientific evidence that proves the relationship between teeth and organs of the human body. I suggest reading the various publications of Neural Therapy and Neurofocal Dentistry. We have to remember that we are human beings with complex integrated systems, with interrelations and interconnections in our bodies.
  • Is there an association where I can have access to a network of neurofocal therapists in my region or country?
A register list is being created and will soon be published in the website www.aconmb.com.(In spanish at the moment)
